Is brain death legal death?Yes, while brain-stem death – “the stage at which all functions of the brain-stem have permanently and irreversibly ceased” (THOA) – is clinical death, the THOA makes it legal death, provided it is certified according to the procedure laid down by it. This procedure is made easier to follow by the G.O.s mentioned above. |
