His role is to maintain the waitlists and allocate organs, call meetings of the Advisory Committee, collate data on transplantation and take up awareness generation programs. The detailed steps he would take have already been explained in the narration above.
His effort is supported by the Advisory Committee that has been formed to establish formats and procedures, to oversee compliance with procedures, to ensure stability of functioning of the program and to recommend a Coordinating Body to institutionalize and streamline the program.
